Gwendolyn worked for a private collector after graduation as librarian to his extensive collection of rare books, in part as a restorer of these tomes of knowledge and archivist. What she didn’t know about this collection after a year wasn’t worth knowing, and keen to show off his collections her employer required her to give small presentations regarding aspects of the collection to his colleagues and social circle. These presentations and restorations of the minute detail of the beautiful artwork within the tomes attracted the attention of one of her employer’s friends, Charles Alexander Lambe.
Lambe, requested her help on some of the works within his own collection, something she was only too happy to do so she could read some of the works whilst repairing. After two months of working in the evenings at Lambe’s residence, he offered her a position working on his whole collection which was based in America at his ancestral home, this was useful as her old employer had pasted away suddenly.
Once in America, Gwendolyn’s life changed more than she thought, after finishing one restoration she was talking Lambe though the work that had been done over a glass of wine in his study, an act which was customary, when he lunged at her, this was the last thing she remembered as a human.
Lambe introduced Gwendolyn to his court and all was apparently well for many years until 10 years ago when she suddenly left the city, Lambe renounced her entitlement to his clan (Ventrue) a year after and officially cast her out in her absence. Whilst the reasons for this are not known, Lambe in his position as not answered any queries as to why; as far as any observer has seen she acts the same as most of her old clan and as for her, Gwendolyn refuses to answer and has taken Caitiff as her clan name volunteerly.
As she has no clan to back her up she has reverted to her mortal job, for the last few years she was working for various clans (although will work for Ventrue she will use a third party rather than speak to them direct) in Chicago restoring and obtaining desired tomes until coming to New England.
