The Hollow Crown
Homelessness is only one of his issues
Shaun wasn’t always on the streets. When he sober or truelky depressed he’ll mention how his life collapsed because no one understood.
He’s been unable to stay sober and in work. A review of his occasional social work files make reference to possible schizophrenia or other mental illnesses linked to bouts of depression and periods of a delusional state.
When he has had assistance, he’s started off well, managing to keep off the substances, but after a short while, objects go missing, Shaun begins to become sullen, and then his behaviour can become erratic/ violent.
He’s normally one of the better ones though – and every so often one of the new helpers tries to get him back on his feet.
